Free where it should be. Paid where it costs something to run.

Your logbook is your permanent record, so logging it, mapping it, earning every badge from it and exporting all of it are free and always will be. What Dyvo charges for is the half that reaches out to metered marine-data providers every time you open it — and the analysis built on top.

Two rules we will not break

Safety information is never gated

Marine warnings and advisories fetch on their own uncapped path and appear on every dive for every diver, paying or not. Charging for the thing that tells you not to get in the water would be indefensible.

Data you created is never gated — in any format

Both exports are free forever. Gating UDDF would have sold the only export that actually moves a diver out, which is exactly the one a diver worried about lock-in wants to exist before they type five hundred dives in.

Why there is a subscription at all

Logging costs nothing to run — your dives and photos sync through your own iCloud, so the storage lands on your quota, not our bill. That is exactly why the free tier can be this generous. The conditions forecast is different: every site you plan a dive at calls metered marine-data providers, every time. A subscription is the honest way to fund an ongoing cost, and it keeps the free half genuinely free rather than quietly subsidised by a cap on your logbook.

Start free. Upgrade if the forecast earns it.

Log tonight’s dive for nothing, and take a 7-day trial of Pro before the next trip.
